Vegan Athletic
I discovered Vegan Athletic (VA) one day in 2019 while scrolling through Instagram. I liked their classy cycling jerseys, colors, mission statement, and education they provided on their website. I must have accidentally been that creeper person on Instagram that went through and liked around 100+ of their posts. The next day someone at VA reached out to me and started chatting, long story short, they ended up offering to send me a free VA cycling kit of my choice, it was a very kind offer but I declines. My husband and I like to live a minimalist life style, we live in our fifth wheel camper, and I have a one in, one out rule so getting a new cycling kit was a generous offer but was not something I “needed.” I ended up giving in to VA’s persistence and generosity, found a old cycling kit I could donate, and picked out a new cycling kit of my choice!
Once the kit arrived I was elated by the quality and lightness of the kit! The reviews on VA were very good but I will not lie, I always wonder how good the quality of something free is going to be. The kit was my new favorite at once. I have been plant based for 4 years now so the clothing company was align with my own values and I also enjoyed the bright colors of the kit, it made me feel safe while riding out on the roads with crazy road rage drivers. Over the past few months VA have release beautiful triathlon kits and regretably they sold out before I could purchase one.
